As full-time firefighters, we've stood in front of homes threatened by wildfire. We've also seen homes that could have been successfully defended lost because simple wildfire mitigation measures hadn't been completed in time. Those experiences stayed with us and inspired us to create AP Earthworks—not just as an earthwork and land management company, but as a business dedicated to helping Central Oregon property owners better protect and improve their land.

AP Earthworks is owned and operated by Jakob Alberts and Craig Puckett, bringing together more than a decade of combined firefighting experience along with backgrounds in heavy equipment operation, construction, landscaping, property management, and land maintenance.
​
Craig was born and raised in Prineville and has spent years working in heavy equipment, construction, landscaping, and as a general contractor. Jakob's experience includes managing foreclosed properties, lawn maintenance, debris removal, general repairs, and operating equipment while maintaining properties throughout the western United States. Together, those experiences allow us to approach every project with practical knowledge and a focus on doing the job correctly.
Why We Started AP Earthworks
Our goal is simple: help make Central Oregon safer.

Wildfire is part of living in Central Oregon, but property owners have more control over their home's survivability than many people realize. Proper defensible space, thoughtful vegetation management, and quality land improvements can significantly reduce wildfire risk while making your property healthier, more functional, and more enjoyable year-round.
